PRESENTATION
ICAR organized a webinar to introduce the new service on “Proficiency Test for Bull Semen”.
CONCEPT NOTE
Bull semen analysis is a key factor in assessing bull fertility. Implementing a robust quality system (QS) for semen analysis ensures that customers receive a high-quality product. Various methods, such as computer-assisted semen analysis (CASA), flow cytometry, and microscopy, are used to analyze bull semen and meet this goal. However, the international compatibility of these methods has not been thoroughly investigated.
To address this gap, it is crucial to gather data on the different methods used and develop tools for their analytical quality control. ICAR aims to provide a platform for organizing a proficiency test. The anonymized results that are returned will enable users to evaluate their performance over time.
We welcome you to join our upcoming webinars, where we will explain the proficiency test in detail and invite you to ask any questions you may have.
