Letter to ICAR Members, Chairpersons and Participants in ICAR Groups

25th September, 2014

The purpose of this letter is to give you an update on ICAR activities since my last report to you on 16th July, 2014.

The ICAR Board meets monthly by telephone conference and decisions taken at the last two meetings included:

Service-ICAR1 Board Meetings – 8th August and 23rd September

Service-ICAR is a commercial company, wholly owned by ICAR, that provides a range of services to ICAR members and the wider international animal recording community. Service-ICAR is governed by a Board appointed by ICAR. The Service-ICAR Board has met twice since I last wrote. The first meeting was focused on the GENOEX PSE service and the second focused on decisions for which the Service-ICAR Board is responsible and on initiating a review of services being provided.

The Service-ICAR Board is meeting every two months by teleconference but will hold its next meeting as a face-to-face meeting in Rome on the 18th of November, 2014.
